Hands Raised High
Today’s image comes from the archives of my 2011 fall road trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. During those 3 days, I made a point to shoot very simple compositions of trees along the trails and paths that I hiked while collecting waterfall images. I wasn’t exactly sure how I would use them at the time but I had a few ideas in mind, one of which was to create works such as this one.
Gear: Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm Lens
Settings: ISO100, 18mm, f/8, 1/15 second
Software: Adobe Lightroom 3, Adobe Photoshop CS5

Really nice abstract piece man. Like this one allot.

Nicely done Curt. And great title.
I can see the tress – just. A really nice pan. I wonder what it looks like in colour too?

Wonderful abstract Curt. It’s like a blanket unfurling in the wind.

Dig this. It feel like a scene from Psycho, and I love that a lot!
