Days Gone By
This is an abandoned home site in rural Southwest Virginia. Most likely this is a smaller building that was adjacent to a larger home as evidenced by the lone chimney that remains standing in the background. Nature has long since retaken the location and will slowly encompass the entire structure over the coming years. Many such structures dot the remote reaches of this area, long since abandoned by their former occupants they are either no longer owned by anyone or have been left to ruin by their current owners.
