Burned Out The Other Side - Curt Fleenor Photography

As promised today’s photo is of the passenger side of the burned out converted ambulance we first saw in yesterday’s post. This side has managed to retain some brilliant red color in the stripes along the ‘box’ portion of the vehicle that really stands out. It looks as if the fire that destroyed this truck may have actually started in the engine compartment on this side since it seems to have sustained the most damage.

Again you can tell by the ghosting in the grass that the wind was beginning to pick up. There were several other vehicles in this lot that I wanted to shoot and did not get to but I will be going back to pick them off one at a time.

The brackets for this image were post processed in Lightroom 3.3 and tone mapped in Photomatix 4.

Camera settings: Canon 60D, 18-135mm @ 37mm, ISO200, f/8, 9-brackets with the 0EV @ 1/80sec

  1. These are some great shots. I still like the GMC truck the best.
Curt, if you taking 9 brackets, that means your using a tripod. And if you have a tripod, why are you shooting at 200ISO instead of 100ISO?

    • The GMC was actually my favorite out of this set too.

I’m busted! I goofed and forgot to reset my ISO before I started this set and didn’t realize it until I imported the frames. I’m trying to get myself into a pre/post-shot routine of resetting the camera so I guess I’m lucky that I hadn’t left it on something crazy like 800!

      Thanks!
