Hard Drive Exposed
The more things change the more they stay the same…
For those of you who may not know, your computer hard drive looks and works in much the same way that vinyl record players worked. For those of you who don’t remember vinyl records you’ll just have to take my word for it! In this 9-exposure HDR image the inner workings of a 250GB hard drive are exposed for all the world to see. And yes, the hard drive was dead before I took my torx drivers to it!
The image was made from 9-exposures at +/-2EV using a 18-55mm kit lens on a Canon Rebel XS, a 100watt CFL with a reflection umbrella and a white foam board reflector. Post processing was performed in Lightroom 3 with tonemapping in Photomatix 4.
Shot info: Canon Rebel XS, ISO200, 41mm, f/5, 1/15sec, 9-exposures
