Cold Mountain Stream
Cold temperatures have frozen the surface of this mountain stream in Southwest Virginia.
A break in the weather allowed me the opportunity to capture this image of a stream whose surface has been frozen by the recent cold temperatures. This particular stream is located in the Nordyke community in Washington County, Virginia. This image is compilation of 3 bracketed exposures taken at ISO100 and f/16 using an ND4 filter. I combined the exposures in GIMP using an exposure blending plugin then made final adjustments in Lightroom 3.
