How Many Miles
Sometimes the smallest details are the very thing that come to symbolize and remind you of a place. To me these concrete mile posts are synonymous with the Blue Ridge Parkway because no matter how much the scenery changes they remain constant. This isn’t the only place where you’ll find markers like this but they are one of the first things that come to my mind when I think of the Parkway.

Great shot Curt. The composition and light is spot on!
Great post Curt, I love the way the mile marker takes center stage without overpowering the rest of the image.

Very nice picture!
Wow, Curt, this shot made me stop dead in my tracks and really take it all in. I love the lighting on the road there, it’s absolutely incredible. And the road marker itself really stands out as a lone and solitary element, adding a ton of drama. Great capture!

Ahh, I know this parkway very well. I buy a season pass each year and make at least a couple of trips there. We should meet at a mile marker some day for a photo shoot.
Love the way you’ve composed this. The parkway came to mind as soon as I saw the image. Lovely processing, Curt.

Nicely composed. The use of the three logs pointing at the sign is very clever. Happy Thanksgiving, Curt.
