Summertime Reflections
While trying to decide what to post today I came across a set of images that I had taken several months ago when the skies were bluer and the air was cooler. This image was taken on Osceola island near South Holston Dam way back in May. It was early evening and the river was as smooth as glass reflecting everything around it. I had spent and hour or so wandering around the small island and had actually shot this same scene earlier but decided to give it another go before leaving. As it turns out, the second round of shots were the better set. The area around this river continues to amaze me, every time I go back I find something new and different to photograph. The diversity of scenery is really incredible considering the whole place is less then 2 miles from one side to the other.

Amazing reflections in the water. Great shot Curt.
Very strange outcroppings (I don’t really know what to call them) in the water. I keep going back to try and figure them out! Beautifully serene capture Curt. Your variegated greens never disappoint!
Very nice shot Curt. Like the post processing!
Wow that’s a keeper. Beautiful reflection captured perfectly.
Nice catch man, love those reflections!
Oh this is perfect man, one of my favorites of yours! Stunning!
We both had reflections on the brain today!
Beautiful scenic Curt!
Cool shot, and I like how the logs break up the reflection and take you down the frame. Nice work.
That’s an awesome reflection! The 2nd effort was worth it!
Very nice. I like the way the foreground frames the water, trees, and reflections.
Lovely scene, Curt. Those reflections are amazing, just what we love to encounter on a photo shoot.
Excellent processing.
