Over and Under - Curt Fleenor Photography

I took some time out during my weekend hike to put my B+W ND110 filter to use on the thundering rapids in the river along the Virginia Creeper Trail. I knew that this super dark filter would smooth the water quite a lot but I wasn’t sure exactly how much or if I would care for the result. I could not have been happier with the first image when it popped up on the display. The splashing torrents had transformed into something that resembled a misty mountain-scape.

Gear: Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm Lens, B+W 77mm ND110 Filter

Settings: ISO100, 41mm, f/8, 59 seconds

Processing: Adobe Lightroom 3
