Candy Cane
Saturday morning I decided to spend some time at the Air & Auto Show held every year at our local airport. The vehicles on display are owned by people from around our area and are mainly classic American cars from the 50′s and 60′s. There is always the occasional restored 30′s era Ford or Chevrolet but not many. The show is a fund raiser for our local Kiwanis chapter with the majority of the proceeds going to charity and is meant to be more fun than a hardcore car show.
This is the interior of a bright red 1964 Chevrolet Impala. The alternating pattern of red stripes on the white upholstery really stood out as I made my way around the grounds.
Processing included a run through PhotoTools to apply a Tonal Contrast filter, Photoshop for High Pass sharpening and Topaz Adjust to add some pop.
Gear: Canon 60D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm
Settings: 48mm, ISO200, f/8, 1/320
Processing: Adobe Lightroom 3, Adobe Photoshop CS5, OnOne PhotoTools 2.6, Topaz Adjust

Now that’s a cool shot! I love the composition here, Curt, well done.

Rocking cool shot. Now if only you could capture the sound, and feel, of the engine rocking this car with a low rumble!
