I Could Have Had A V8
I hope that I’ve got this right and that someone more car-savvy than I am will correct if I’m wrong but this is the front end of what I think is a 1934 Ford Coupe. As I mentioned yesterday, there weren’t many 1930′s model vehicles on display at this weekend’s car show but there were a few and most were early Fords. This one was a bright cherry red trimmed in chrome that absolutely glowed.
I first processed this in PhotoTools applying Tonal Contrast and Darkening filters then in Photoshop for Spot Removal and High Pass sharpening. I still wanted to do something to add a vintage/stylized look to the image so I browsed several filters in Lightroom and finally decided on Colorfade.
Gear: Canon 60D, Canon EF-S 18-135mm
Settings: 33mm, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/400
Processing: Adobe Lightroom 3, Adobe Photoshop CS5, OnOne PhotoTools 2.6

Really nice Curt. I also stalk vintage car shows. Heres a gallery. Take care.

Great title, Curt.
What a wonderful shot. I’m really digging the lines in that chrome grille. The vehicle, no doubt, is spotless.
Nice processing, man.
