Sometimes the smallest details are the very thing that come to symbolize and remind you of a place. To me these concrete mile posts are synonymous with the Blue Ridge Parkway because no matter how much the scenery changes they remain constant. Today’s shot is of another unnamed waterfall in the Pisgah National Forest of western North Carolina. This waterfall is located about 50 yards above the falls we saw in the post Wall of Water. The heavily diffused light of late afternoon created the perfect conditions to shoot long exposures.
